Safety Protocols
Animal Medical Center at Ft. Sheridan COVID-19 Safety Protocol
Animal Medical Center at Ft. Sheridan’s doctors and staff appreciate your patience and understanding during these uncertain times.
We still encourage our staff and clients to wear masks, although they are no longer required.
We are continuing curbside service but do allow clients to come inside based on preference and exam room availability.
Our reception area will remain closed for those waiting for an appointment. Please call upon arrival and remain outside on the lawn or in your car until your exam room is cleaned and ready for you, if you wish to come inside.
**For ALL inquiries and schedule appointments, CALL when you arrive. Please do not enter the building until invited to do so.**
Scheduled Doctor Appointments:
- Park in the parking lot and call upon arrival.
- Appointment can remain curbside or up to TWO family members may enter the building with a patient. We still encourage our staff and clients to wear masks, although they are no longer required.
- Please remain outside or in your car until invited to enter the building.
Surgery and Technician Appointments:
- Park in the parking lot and call upon arrival.
- The appointment will remain curbside.
For scheduled surgeries: the technician will take a medical history over
the phone and pick up the patient outside.
For technician appointments: the technician will pick up patients
outside when available.
Acute Care & Drop-off Appointments:
Clients will park in the parking lot and call upon arrival. These appointments will remain curbside and patients will be seen by the first available doctor.
Food & Medication Pick Up
We respectfully request that any food and/or medication pick-up requests
are made ahead of time. Clients will enter the building’s front door into the vestibule. Food and medication will be located on the Food/Med shelving unit for customers who have already purchased products.
We ask that clients be masked and remain masked the entire time in the hospital.
The following adjusted guidelines have been put in place by our management team with the recent change and rise in cases of COVID-19. If you have any questions or concerns please address them directly with the hospital manager or practice owner and not our staff. Additionally, with the ever-changing nature of COVID-19, our policies are also subject to change.
While we have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to be face-to-face with our
clients over the last month, we appreciate your patience and understanding
as we continue to navigate the ever-changing nature of this pandemic
together. As has always been the case, our goal remains to provide the
quality medicine and care your pets have always received while maintaining
the necessary measures to ensure the safety of our clients and staff
members.
With sincerity and respect,
Dr. Jeff Kordell and Staff at Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan
