Meet Hanna Matseshe, DVM
Dr. Hanna Matseshe’s dream to become a veterinarian began at the age of 6 when Dr. Jeff Kordell used to make house calls to treat her beloved Chocolate Labrador, Coco. In the following years, as a young girl, Dr. Matseshe insisted on attending every vet appointment for her dog. She went on to shadow the veterinarians at Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan throughout high school and worked at the clinic as a veterinary technician in the summer of 2019. Her dream comes full circle as she joins our team as a doctor, working alongside her mentor.
Dr. Matseshe grew up in the area, attended Stevenson High School, did her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medical degree with distinction. She is also certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture through CuraCore, and she is excited to use this integrative technique to better serve her patients. Overall, Dr. Matseshe looks forward to connecting with the community while taking care of their loved ones.
Outside of work, Dr. Matseshe loves exercising, running, baking, spending time with family and friends and spoiling her Yorkie-Poo, Carlee. Dr. Matseshe is very excited to be a part of the team at Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan!
