Preventative Health Care
We believe preventative health care is the key to ensuring that your beloved dog lives a full and healthy life. It all starts with comprehensive “nose to tail” wellness exams at the Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan. We recommend a minimum of once a year wellness exam. Depending upon the life stage and health of your dog, we may recommend more frequent visits.
The wellness exam provides an opportunity for you to discuss your dog’s health with one of our veterinarians. Everything from dental care, arthritis, nutrition, immunizations, and any lifestyle changes are encouraged discussions.
Our approach to canine veterinary care revolves around a comprehensive wellness program based upon annual or bi-annual wellness exams, up-to-date vaccines, parasite prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, diagnostic care, and canine dental care. From puppy care to senior dogs, consistent preventive care can make all the difference in the quality of life of your dog.
