Digital Radiology
Digital X-rays provide quicker, clearer, and faster images than traditional film x-ray. A digital X-ray of your pet’s injury or area of concern is taken and developed in seconds, eliminating the need to wait for the -rays to develop. Digital x-rays also help provide a better diagnosis for your pet. Like a digital photo, a radiograph can be manipulated after it is taken allowing our team to view the image in ways that were not possible with film X-ray.
Digital Dental X-rays
Dental radiographs (X-rays) are an important tool during your pet’s dental treatment. Digital dental X-rays are clear digital dental images of your pet’s tooth root, the socket of the tooth and surrounding bone, and the periodontal ligament that attaches the root to the bone. By visualizing these structures, we can evaluate each tooth for bone loss, the presence of an abscess, severity of a tooth or jaw fracture, or evaluate feline tooth resorption. We also use dental radiographs to diagnose missing teeth, or teeth that are trapped in the bone and cannot erupt.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive diagnostic imaging tool that allows us to visualize (in 3-D) your pet’s organs, including the liver, kidneys, spleen, and heart. When appropriate, we utilize the services of a specialist to perform and interpret your pet’s ultrasound examination in our hospital. This allows for your convenience and ensures an accurate and immediate diagnosis for your pet. Ultrasound typically does not require sedation unless internal tissue samples are collected. If a biopsy is required, we can safely obtain those samples using the ultrasound as a guide.
ECG Monitoring
We use ECG monitoring during surgery to provide the safest surgical procedures for your pet. Our system monitors blood pressure, respiration, heart activity, oxygen saturation and temperature.
In-Hospital Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory allows us to quickly and thoroughly evaluate your pet’s health and provide immediate diagnostic care for your pet. We also utilize out of house reference laboratories to help provide the most thorough, accurate testing available. We are able to perform heartworm testing, complete blood counts, blood-chemistry panels, electrolytes, urinalysis and fecal examinations in our medical center.
