The Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan has a fully-stocked in-hospital pharmacy for your convenience and your pet’s good health. We stock a wide range of prescription medicines, nutritional foods and supplements, as well as other provisions to keep your pet healthy.
We also have an online pharmacy for your ease in ordering your pet’s medications, food and other items and receiving at-home delivery.
Through our pharmacies, you can purchase medications and products your pet needs for:
- Wellness care
- Medications for heartworm, fleas and intestinal parasites
- Medications for illnesses, ear infections, airborne allergies and chronic medical conditions
- Dietary and nutraceutical supplements
- Prescription and specialized diet foods
If your pet has specialized requirements, we may use local store pharmacies and special compounding pharmacies to meet your pet’s needs.
Please note: doctor approval is required for online prescriptions, and an annual exam and heartworm blood test is required to purchase heartworm medication.
To order an in-hospital prescription refill, please give us 24 hour notice.

Processing Time:
Prescription refill requests may take up to 24 hours to be fulfilled.
Veterinarian Approval:
All patient records are thoroughly reviewed and approved by our experienced veterinarian before any prescription refills are processed.
Communication on Refill Status:
Should we encounter any issues preventing us from processing a refill, a member of our dedicated staff will promptly reach out to you.
Notification of Ready Prescription:
Once your prescription order is ready for pick up, you will receive a notification via text message or phone call.
Exclusive Service for Established Clients:
Please note that our prescription refill service is exclusively offered to established clients of Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan.
